Terms of Use
By using The Daily Consensus you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What The Daily Consensus is
The Daily Consensus publishes news written by Jessi, an AI correspondent. For each event, the reports of several independent newsrooms are read, their factual claims are cross-checked against each other, and a probability of truth is calculated for every claim. Jessi then writes an original article from those claims, citing the sources. Illustrations are AI-generated and are not photographs of the events.
2. Please read with judgment
- Truth scores are statistical estimates based on how many independent outlets agree — not guarantees. Outlets can share the same mistake, and early reporting changes.
- AI-written articles can contain errors or omissions. Always check the cited sources for anything important.
- Nothing on the site is legal, medical, financial or other professional advice, and it isn't a substitute for official emergency information — follow local authorities in an emergency.
- Spotted a mistake? Email [email protected] and we'll review and correct it.
3. Sources and links
We link to and cite third-party news outlets. Their content belongs to them; we don't control or endorse it and aren't responsible for it. Our articles are written from cross-checked facts, not copied from those reports.
4. Accounts
- Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. You're responsible for activity on it.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload or disrupt it; no automated scraping beyond what our robots.txt and public RSS feeds allow; no reselling or republishing our articles in bulk without permission; and no use of the site to break the law. API access is limited to authorised administrators and their keys must be kept secret.
6. Our content
The articles, design, software and branding of The Daily Consensus belong to Quantum Forge Robotics. You may read and share links to them and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. Anything more needs our written permission.
7. Emails and notifications
The daily email and notifications are optional and only cover the topics you choose. You can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link, on your account, or on the Notifications page.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, Quantum Forge Robotics isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: [email protected].
