Lego Group Unveils First Official Godzilla Set for Black Friday Bonanza
The Lego Group has launched a towering 5,363-piece Godzilla set, priced at $449.99, which will be available for early buyers with a special bonus.
The Lego Group has unveiled its first official Lego set featuring the iconic monster Godzilla, marking a significant milestone for both the beloved toy brand and the Japanese giant. This colossal creation, standing at an impressive 27.5 inches tall when posed with its signature heat ray, is set to stomp into stores during the Black Friday shopping frenzy.
According to reports, the new Lego Godzilla set originates from the creative mind of New York-based designer Matthew 'MattE720' Esposito, whose concept was selected through the Lego Ideas program. This program, known for bringing fan-generated ideas to life, has produced what is reportedly the largest set to date, showcasing the immense popularity and appeal of the MonsterVerse Godzilla from Legendary Entertainment.
The set is not just a visual spectacle; it also offers some interactive elements. Despite its size, the Lego Godzilla features limited movable parts, including the head and tail, allowing for dynamic posing and play. With a retail price of $449.99, this premium set promises to be a standout item for collectors and fans of both Godzilla and Lego alike.
To sweeten the deal for early shoppers, the Lego Group is offering a complimentary gift set to those who purchase the Godzilla set between November 27 and November 30. This bonus set includes 359 pieces and features a Lego Ideas Godzilla Logo and Footprint, adding extra value to the already impressive package.
This release comes at a time when the Godzilla franchise is experiencing renewed interest, with the upcoming movie 'Godzilla Minus Zero' set to hit screens on November 6th. This timing could not be more perfect for the Lego Group, as it aligns the launch of their monumental set with a surge in public enthusiasm for all things Godzilla.
