Death Stranding Isolations Teaser Reveals Mysterious Crater Connection
The upcoming anime series hints at a significant event in the Death Stranding universe with its cryptic subtitle.
In a tantalizing preview, the highly anticipated anime series *Death Stranding Isolations* has unveiled a teaser that promises to delve into the mysterious world of Hideo Kojima’s beloved franchise. The series, produced by E&H Production and set for release in 2027 on Disney Plus, features a captivating subtitle: 'My mom became a crater.' This intriguing phrase reportedly refers to voidouts, the colossal explosions that define the Death Stranding universe 13.
The teaser trailer, which was shared via a tweet on October 29, 2026, showcases a large crater with a trailer home nestled within it, where a young girl is seen sleeping 3. This visual clue aligns with the anime's subtitle, suggesting that a significant character—possibly the protagonist's mother—has met a dramatic end due to a voidout 13.
Directed by Takayuki Sano and written by Tow Ubukata, *Death Stranding Isolations* promises to bring a fresh ensemble of characters to the screen, distinct from the main cast of the video game series 23. The trailer also features a blonde-haired girl waking up from dreams of being consumed by tar, hinting at the rich narrative and dreamlike elements that fans have come to expect from the Death Stranding universe 2.
E&H Production is handling the animation for the series, ensuring that the visuals will be as stunning as the story 123. Additionally, the series is executive produced by Hideo Kojima, who continues to oversee the creative direction of the expanding Death Stranding universe 3. Character design for the series is credited to Ilya Kuvshinov, adding another layer of artistic flair to the already vibrant world of *Death Stranding* 3.
While the teaser provides a glimpse into the anime's storyline, there are still many questions left unanswered. For instance, it remains to be seen whether the series will premiere globally on Disney+ (via Hulu in the US) the following year after its initial release 3. Furthermore, the exact nature of the relationship between the blonde-haired girl and the character whose mother became a crater is yet to be revealed 12.
